Antidote:
- Maintain full atropinization by repeated doses of 2 to 4mg of atropine sulphate intravenously at 5-10 minutes intervals. 25-50mg of atropine may be required in a day.
- For 2-PAM, dissolve 1-2 g in 10 ml water and inject IV slowly over 10-15 minutes.
Mode of Action:
Armiphos affects the central nervous system through inhibition of Cholinesterase in larvae, this results in death before reaching the adult stage.
Recommended Dose:
- 0.75 ml/L for clean water sites (ponds, lakes).
- 1.5 ml/L for moderately polluted sites (marshes, swamps).
- 2 ml/L for highly polluted sites (drains, septic tanks).
